After your release is reviewed by our Quality Control team, we assess the ownership and rights associated with each track. Based on this evaluation, we assign one of four Asset Rights Claim policies to ensure your music complies with Digital Service Provider (DSP) guidelines and respects the rights of other content owners.
These settings specifically affect how your audio can be used on platforms that support user-generated content (UGC)—such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more.
🔒 Asset Rights Claim Policy Options
✅ Monetize
“I have exclusive rights and I’m OK with users generating content with my audio.”
- Your track can be used in user-generated content.
- You retain full monetization rights.
- Ideal for artists who fully own their content and want to allow organic sharing.
- This is the most common selection.
🤝 No Claim
“I don’t have exclusive rights OR I don’t want to monetize this content for another reason.”
- No rights claim will be made on UGC that uses your track.
- Often selected when:
- You’re using a non-exclusive license
- The track is a cover song
- The audio is public domain
- This setting avoids copyright flags when rights are limited or shared.
⚠️ Important Notes
- These Asset Rights Claim settings do NOT affect monetization on DSPs like Apple Music, Spotify, or Amazon Music.
- They are only related to how your audio is handled on UGC platforms.
